Richard J. Marks is a strategic development creative and high-energy communications professional. His specialization is in promoting the advancement of renewable energy, clean water solutions, conservation finance, impact investing, and resilience. He has led senior executive project teams and strategic planning via project coordination, coaching and strategic alliances. As writer and producer, he wrote and supervised the pilot episode and promotional materials for the PBS series "Building Green" (2006) – which aired on 75% of the PBS stations nation wide. He received a Cable Ace Award while a staff journalist and assignment editor for CNN’s Los Angeles bureau, after which he served as Development Executive in the original National Geographic Feature Films Group. He worked for all the major film studios in large-budget feature film production and management, including Disney, Paramount Pictures, Universal, and Castle Rock Pictures.
Since 2005, Richard has served on the Board of Directors of Innocents at Risk, a public-private partnership with the United States Department of State to battle child trafficking through awareness programs aimed at educating the public.
